History and Tradition

Hospitality has a long tradition in the Craffonara Family. Hotel Cavallino originates from the end of the 19th century. Josef Freinademetz celebrated his ordination to the priesthood in this house. During the first few years Cavallino was the village pub with only a few rooms offering typical homemade products. Due to changing demands, after a few years the guesthouse was in need of renovation so the first big change occurred in 1952, when father Raimund decided to reconstruct and extend the structure in order to change it into a hotel. In 2008 the hotel was again adapted to the increasing demands of the guests and was completely rebuilt to become what is today's hotel.
The result is a completely new hotel with a modern design realised with natural materials: wood, stone, metal. However, the tradition was not abandoned. The basics where taken from Ladin tradition and adapted to the new technologies. A refined work in order to always provide the best.
